Hi Everyone,
I’m very excited and nervous since I will be posting my first video on how to make a kissing panda card today. I love this card. I first thought of the idea when I was looking through Instagram and saw some moving cards when the cards were opened. Then I thought “I bet I could figure out how to make a panda kissing card from a similar movement.” It took a few tries but here it is.
Que drumroll. . .
Card dimensions
Base card is 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”
Outer panel
black matte – 5 1/4” x 1 7/8” (2x)
design paper – 5 1/8” x 1 3/4” (2x)
Inside panel
Blue matte – 5 1/2” x 3 3/4”
design paper – 5 1/4” x 3 1/2”
Aha Moments:
Make sliders attached to card base to make pandas move when card opens
I put together this easy image so you can see how to line up your acetate (or card stock, whichever you are using) when you glue down your pandas. As you can see from my image to the video I had to change a detail or two.
Panda Stamps and dies are made by Mama Elephant. I love how cute they are for any occasion. You can find it on their website or at SimonSaysStamp.com.
The inside panel I used the Deco Framelits and Modern Label punch, both by Stampin Up!
Other items needed:
- Glue
- Glue dots (optional)
- Dimensionals or foam adhesive
- Cutting board
- Score board
- Ink, whatever you would like your sentiment to be stamped in
I hope you enjoyed the video and making this card.
